My ripple afghan project has officially begun - and I'm loving it. It feels to be working on an afghan again - my favorite, favorite type of project.
I did have a touch of panic last night though, when I realized that one of the colors I had chosen was just not. going. to. work. So I panicked, then got sad, then got frustrated - and then shook it off and went about picking a replacement color. Quick online order placed. Hopefully, hopefully the yarn will arrive by Friday so I can keep going with my ripples.
(I would have just moved ahead without the extra color, but the pattern I'm using requires an odd number of colors. Thus, the panic. I also didn't want to pull out any of the work I had already done...)
It's been chilly here, so I admit I've been somewhat lax (lazy) in getting me and Patrick outside for our long walks. The spring flowers continue to be brilliant, however. This is the bush right outside my front door. Barely a leaf to be seen... (pic taken with my phone, so please excuse the funky print!)
