Hi there... and welcome to my blog!
First, a little about me.
I am a 41 year old wife, dog mom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, granddaughter and friend. I live in Northern Virginia with my wonderful husband of nine years, and our dog Patrick.
I spend my days working in project management and administration. Sounds a bit boring, but it can be pretty interesting - although most of what I do is not very imaginative or creative. I've discovered that to keep myself happy and balanced, it's important that I have other creative outlets. This blog has become a big part of that.
I am an avid crocheter. My aunt taught me the craft several years ago and I will always be grateful to her for that. I absolutely love crocheting and it has provided me with many, many hours of enjoyment and stress relief. I love the fact that I can take a ball of yarn, and a simple hook, and create something pretty and useful. I am always learning and (I hope) that my skills improve with each project I work on.
I also love flowers - all flowers. So you'll find this blog also peppered with (a lot) of pictures of blooms.
I'm still not 100% sure what this blog is or what direction it's headed... it is definitely an evolution, but that's OK I think. :) I enjoy sharing my works in progress (pretty much all crochet!), my finished projects, snaps of flowers (of course), a sprinkling here and there of some of my baking and cooking adventures, and also some thoughts and experiences from my everyday life.
